AI Transformation in Banking & Finance Program Brings Leading Practitioners Together in Amsterdam

Banking and technology leaders from across Europe convened in Amsterdam from March 2–4 for the AI Transformation in Banking & Finance executive program, an intensive three-day initiative focused on turning artificial intelligence from strategy into execution.

Organised by The Banking 50, the program featured a faculty of senior practitioners from ABN AMRO, ING, Rabobank, ASN Bank, OTP Bank, and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Each faculty member has successfully led AI implementations within their own institution and shared concrete lessons learned, best practices, and pitfalls from real-world deployments.

Rather than focusing on theory, the program centred on practical application. Participants explored how banks are using AI today across areas such as customer experience, risk and compliance, operations, and data platforms, while addressing governance, regulatory expectations, and organisational readiness.

A key element of the program was The Banking 50’s BEACON™ framework, which guided participants in identifying high-impact AI use cases and translating them into a structured, actionable roadmap. By the end of the program, attendees left with a clear implementation plan tailored to their own organisation, enabling faster and more controlled AI adoption.

The event reinforced The Banking 50’s role as a platform where senior banking professionals move beyond inspiration and focus on execution, peer learning, and measurable transformation.
