From 1–3 December, The Banking 50 organised a Strategic Banking Innovation Tour in the Netherlands for Visa x Moldindconbank, bringing senior executives together with leading Dutch and European financial institutions to explore best practices in digital banking transformation.
The three-day program focused on payments modernisation, instant payments, embedded finance, AI governance, digital identity, retail banking innovation, and branch network transformation—key topics for banks aligning with European standards and next-generation operating models.
Participants engaged in in-depth discussions and closed-door sessions with experts from Deutsche Bank, ABN AMRO, Rabobank (including Rabo Ventures), ING, ASN Bank, and fintech innovator Datakeeper. The program combined strategic insights with practical execution lessons, covering areas such as SEPA and ISO 20022 payments, API monetisation, corporate venturing, customer-controlled digital identity, AI operating models, and the shift towards digital-first, advice-led retail banking.
The tour was designed to go beyond theory, enabling direct knowledge transfer from institutions already operating at scale within mature European banking ecosystems. By connecting Visa and Moldindconbank with peers at the forefront of innovation, The Banking 50 continues to support banks in accelerating transformation through curated, high-impact executive programs.
